Hali Long Counselling
Hali Long - Dip. Couns. MNCPS (Acc.).
Humanistic Integrative Counsellor
Providing a safe, empathic, non-judgemental space, where you can process, grow & heal.
My name is Hali and I am a fully qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, providing in-person counselling across West Dorset & East Devon. I also provide online/telephone counselling sessions across the UK, to ensure flexibility and accessibility. I am an Accredited Registrant member - MNCPS (Acc.) with the NCPS - National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society, and I am also a member of the BACP - The British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy and work within their ethical frameworks.
I work integratively as a counsellor, which means that together, you and I can discover the type of therapy that works best for you. My main training is in Person-Centred work, which is a collaborative approach, where we work together. As a person-centred counsellor, through empathic understanding, honesty, acceptance and non-judgement, you as the client are encouraged to discover and explore your own capacity for personal growth and self-healing.
This is your space, where I will walk alongside you on your journey, to help you find clarity and acceptance.
‘We cannot change, we cannot move away from what we are, until we thoroughly accept what we are. Then change seems to come about almost unnoticed.’
Carl Rogers
‘The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.’
Carl Jung
As a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, I draw on different modalities of counselling, dependent on my client’s needs. I work mainly within the person-centred model, though also combine the theories of Gestalt & Transactional Analysis, within my practice.
It may be that you are at a crossroads in life, suffering a bereavement, experiencing grief/loss, depression/anxiety, or are feeling lost or depleted and not sure why. This is where person-centred counselling can help you, process and explore your feelings in a safe and confidential space. As your counsellor, I can help you make sense of your world and navigate a way forward.
It can be daunting, to book that first session, especially if you have never had counselling before, but taking that leap of faith, prioritising your self-care and having the self-awareness to get help is the first step on your healing journey and one that I would be humbled to share with you.
‘I will walk with you through the darkness as you remember your light.’
Carl Jung.
